Setting boundaries as a bridal hairstylist
Mar 31, 2022So, I want to ask you to take a look at the images below before reading any further.
The longer you are in the business, the more you realize that boundaries are key if you want to succeed.
When I just started I did ALL the things I mentioned in this carousel above. But I quickly realized it was draining me. Saying yes to everything was helping anyone, because I started loosing the ‘joy’ I had in my work.
So I quickly started with learning to say no and set boundaries for myself. And I can tell you this; since I have these boundaries, running my business is so much easier.
➡️I can easily say no to things which are not ‘important’ for me, or bringing me to my goal
➡️I can easily say no to certain bookings because I know exactly how many days I want to work, when I have vacation, how long I want to drive for bridal bookings etc.
➡️My brides know exactly from me what I do and don’t do upfront, so there are no surprises
If you want this for yourself too, then please try to set some of these boundaries for yourself. You don’t need to do it all at once, you can do it overtime as well.
Please let me know which of these boundaries you find most important and which one you will implement in your business right away!
